Although Christina & Seth had a different plan to get married in Arizona, the pandemic changed things for them and took their day all the way to Washington! Instead of canceling or postponing, they persevered and came up with a plan that couldn’t have been more perfect! Having both grown up in Southeastern Washington, the decision to move their wedding to Christina’s family farm came naturally! 

The Washington countryside was an beautiful contrast to the Arizona desert we find ourselves in almost every weekend! When we heard that they were moving their wedding to Washington we were so excited to be able to work it out and still capture their day! We were amazed to find out that they were just a few minutes from something uniquely American, the Oregon Trail! With everything that has happened in 2020, the Oregon Trail was such a great reminder of what we can do under unprecedented circumstances. Back in the 1800’s, those who made the 5 month journey westward were pioneers. They dealt with a lot of hardship in their quest for new lives and just like today, young couples are making tough choices in their journey to becoming newlyweds. 

Christina and Seth are just the type that wouldn’t let anything stand in their way. Having known each other since childhood, they had waited long enough to become something more! Christina even had the necklace that Seth bought for her when they were in FIFTH grade! *Cue the tears!*  They both held back tears as they saw each other for the first time on the day they would begin their next adventure together.

We loved all the personal touches for their day and each table had a different representation of the many places all around the world they have traveled together! They love adventure and were planning to drive back to Arizona and stop at some of the most incredible places that made us pretty jealous! (Even though were were headed to Mt. Rainier the next day!)

It was no wonder why they chose this place as we watched the gorgeous sun set over the rows of fields and the industrial sprinklers acted as their own personal watershow, it was incredible! No matter where our wedding photography adventures take us we are always meeting amazing people and this wedding was no exception! They danced the night away with their favorite people until it was time for their paper plane exit, the perfect way to send them off onto their next adventure! 

Christina + Seth, thank you for trusting us to fly across the country and invite us into your family home. We hope you had the best time on your honeymoon travels, we’ll see you back in Arizona! 😉
