Ali & James’ cloudy country wedding at Desert Foothills Wedding & Events was full of incredible sentimental details and so much JOY! From the great barbecue dinner and two-steppin in the barn, to riding the mechanical bull, their day was a non-stop great time and we are so lucky to have had the opportunity to be their Phoenix wedding photographers!

If you can’t tell from the photos, Ali & James are one of those couples that have such a unique and magnetic energy! At times, it seemed like they couldn’t take their eyes off each other! They were friends for years before dating, so along with their absolute love for each other, they never stopped cracking jokes! Ali managed to “ice” James several times throughout the day (including during their first look!). Of course James took each one like a CHAMP, but you’ll have to see it to believe us! 😉  They have a playfulness that is down right hilarious and it was so fun to capture their day as it unfolded!

Everything at their wedding was personal to them in one way or another and told a story. From the gorgeous pearls to the generational bible, the stories or reason for each item was so special! Her jewelry and James’ cufflinks all came from their relatives and were handed down through the generations! There were so many sweet details, and it’s no secret that we are big fans of details! #detailsmatter

Their country wedding day was full of vitality from the getting ready room to the sparkler exit! Of course, a Pi Day wedding just wouldn’t be complete without PIES; and while we were busy calculating the circumference of their love, they took to the mechanical bull to show all their family and friends what country life is all about! Seriously, Garth Brooks would’ve been jealous of this wedding! As American as apple pie, the ’54 Chevy Bel-Air they left in was the perfect finishing touch to a perfect day! 

Ali & James,

One thing we know for sure is that you both KNOW how to have some serious fun! The joy we have seen in you both is exponentially greater when you are with your friends and family! Maybe that’s because you are all so close, maybe it was just that wedding day vibe but no matter the reason, you are surrounded by an outstanding group of people who love you SO much!! Even while the outside world seemed to be on fire, for one day, in one place, it was a breath of fresh air to see people forget about the crazy world around them and just be in YOUR moment.

Congratulations to you both, and thank you so much for making us a part of your day! We cannot wait to see how you grow together and we have no doubt that James will still be flipping you on the dance floor in 50 years! We love you both!
