Monet & Kyle’s wedding at the Wigwam was nothing short of amazing and even though we said prayers as torrential downpours started their day, it ended in typical Arizona fashion with blue skies and sunshine! The sun coming out after a day of angry skies and rain that forced their ceremony indoors, is a wedding photography DREAM. ☀️

They say that rain is good luck on your wedding day, but try telling that to a bride as she watches the forecast call for 100% chance of showers! The morning rain added a little stress to the day but both Monet and Kyle greeted us with huge smiles! They were getting married, and that was all that mattered! The weather forced the ceremony to be moved indoors, but we were so thankful the venue had a contingency plan! There were many brides in Phoenix that day who were not as lucky, we can’t even imagine! It’s so important to make sure that your venue offers a backup plan in case of rain. Arizona doesn’t see rain like some states, but rain in the desert can be spontaneous and temperamental! You just never know!

Watching Monet & Kyle together throughout the day was spectacular. From the moment we met these two at their engagement session, we could see the bond that they shared was special! When they are together a gentle warmth comes over them and their personalities shine!

On the way to their wedding that morning, we looked at each other and said “We just need their story to end with the sky opening up and the sun coming out for them!” And guys…it happened! Minutes before their first look, the clouds broke and gave way to gorgeous blue skies! (Wedding Photography GOALS) We took advantage of every second of short lived sunshine before their ceremony.

Monet’s Father is a Pastor in Texas and played dual roles of both walking her down the aisle, and marrying them! It made for an extra sweet ceremony.

Because of the rain, it meant that the other weddings happening at the Wigwam that day wouldn’t be outside either! We were able to use ALL of the great scenery that the resort has to offer and the Wigwam is beautiful! Their staff was so helpful and we couldn’t have been more appreciative of their service! Everyone truly came together to make sure their day was so special!

We know Arizona won’t be home for much longer and you will be missed! We loved being able to spend the day with you both! You are starting your new lives together and both have such a passion for life, we can’t wait to see where it will take you! Your passion & drive will continue to push you through any and all obstacles in your way as you tackle life together with your beautiful children! Grow old together and continue to give each other the respect you do today! It is truly something special! Thank you for letting us be a part of your day as your wedding photography duo, we know this won’t be the last time we see you!
