Bethany and Trevor’s Desert Botanical Garden wedding was nothing short of a boho desert dreamland! The colors…the florals…. the people! AAHHH! Desert Botanical Garden holds a special spot in our hearts as Phoenix wedding photographer (s) and the smell of creosote plants will always remind us that we are at home in the desert! DBG is absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect for a January wedding. This is one we won’t ever forget!

Another #SMPCouple — Chris & Kelsey, introduced us to Bethany and Trevor! (Don’t worry, their blog post is coming soon!) They were roommates before they were *BOTH* married – within a month of each other! We love their sweet friendship and are so thankful to Kelsey for bringing us all together! 

Bethany and Trevor met in College and like many new college students, they didn’t know anyone! They both joined a group with fellow students whose promise was to meet their “friends for life”. We’d say they got more than just a friend for life though! 😉 After being friends for what seemed like forever, it became clear that the only two people who didn’t know they were in love…was them! 

These two never left each other’s side once they arrived at the garden, a rarity on most weddings days! One of the biggest things we hear after a wedding day is “Gosh, it just flew by and I don’t feel like I saw them!” By the end of the night, we don’t think Bethany and Trevor could say the same! Our favorite part of the day was stealing them away for a little sunset portrait time in the garden! When you get married somewhere as beautiful as Arizona, you take full advantage of the landscape!

We are so thankful that Arizona graced us with beautiful weather because most of Bethany’s family flew in for their wedding day! Much of Bethany’s family came from Hawaii, so Arizona was quite a change in scenery for them! 😉 Luckily, the perfect weather carried through and made for a comfortable evening on the gorgeous Ullman Terrace as the softly lit saguaros covered the mountain behind their reception.

Bethany & Trevor, your DBG wedding day was beautiful, filled with laughter, love, and LOTS(!!) of tears! There are a few things we learned from your day! Number one, you know some GREAT speech writers!!! Second, we hope the amount of joy that fills the air around you never changes.
