Sedona Wedding Photographers | An Intimate Wedding at Cathedral Rock

WHEW….what a day! No matter how many times we get the opportunity to be Sedona wedding photographers and capture one of the most important and anticipated days of a couple’s lives, it never gets any less exciting. Taunie & Zac, like many others, had a different plan for their big day, but Covid changed those plans. After Taunie casually mentioned to a friend she… “just wanted to get married on a mountain somewhere…” her friend Jordan also happened to come across Amanda & Dillon’s Sedona Elopement and well…. the rest is history! 😉

Taunie & Zac flew from Houston with both of their families to get married surrounded by the gorgeous red rocks and it was a day we will never forget. One of the first things that Zac commented on was just how RED the rocks truly are! If you have never been to Sedona, it’s a pretty incredible sight to see the first time. We had so much fun with their whole family and from the minute we walked into their Air Bnb, they made us feel like family. Taunie’s Maggie Sottero dress was stunning paired with a bouquet from our favorite Sedona High Mountain Florist, while Zac pulled off a very classic look. These two turned some heads and they looked straight out of a bridal magazine! There were so many tears as these two families *finally* became one! From dancing in the bathroom while they got ready, the perfect location for their ceremony with an epic view, to their tearful vows, we had such a magical day!

We love intimate weddings because they give us a chance to slow down a bit and take everything in. With the wedding industry adapting, and changing to the current obstacles, intimate weddings are happening more and more! Weddings in general, the day seems to fly by, but intimate weddings give a little more time to reflect on the monumental change that has taken place. You have the opportunity to make your day exactly what you want! They each wrote their own vows and oh my gosh were there tears…from everyone! 

Taunie & Zac, this life you have created together is already so special. You both have the sweetest, most genuine love and to top that off with your huge Texas hearts, you make us love our ‘job’s even more than we already do! We were so excited to be there with you both to celebrate and even more honored that you chose us to capture it all. We can’t thank you enough for sharing your incredible day with us and choosing US to capture your perfect day. Our only wish was that we had more time together but if we are ever in Texas, we promise to grab that drink! 😉
